Unlike other conferences that gather around a specific topic, the “Best Practices for Ministry” conference gives participants the opportunity to attend a wide variety of sessions covering everything from disaster relief to technology within the church. The goal is to bring people from across the LCMS together to share effective ministry ideas in order to encourage each other as they share the good news about Jesus Christ within their local communities.
Ken Krueger, President of MinistryFocus, and Tom Schlund, Director of Communications & Marketing, presented workshops while at the conference. Krueger presented two sessions, one on supporting called workers and another on the formation of nonprofit organizations. Schlund led presentations on the effectiveness of building congregational partnerships.
The goals of BPM and the mission of MinistryFocus are very similar. They both strive to help ministry leaders focus on ministry so that more people get to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Ken Krueger, President of MinistryFocus
BPM is a great venue to share the work of MinistryFocus. Participants showed interest in the work we are doing and were encouraged to know that effective strategies are in place to support our called workers within the synod.
